We are always investing in our children’s educational and therapeutic needs. From programs, equipment, and technology to helping children access the school via transportation, there are many ways you can make a difference.
Silver Creek has been serving children with physical and developmental challenges since 1975 when local parents petitioned the provincial government for funding and support in starting a program to serve the pre-academic and therapeutic needs of their children. The school has grown from seven students in 1975 to more than 60 children being served annually. I cannot thank you enough for the exceptional care and love the Silver Creek Staff has shown my child. It will forever be a wonderful memory in Ella’s life and a great start to her educational career. Thank you.
The one-on-one attention, the follow through notes that the OT, the Speech and Language therapist or the music teacher, and everyone that’s involved is phenomenal. Silver Creek staff, you possess the healing hands and big hearts for looking after the welfare of our child in the areas we don’t know how.

Since Xavier has been diagnosed with Sandhoff disease, my family’s lives have been turned upside down. It has been difficult for us to find a place for our family in the community. And then we found Silver Creek, it is like a second home to us. I would love the opportunity to give back to Silver Creek.
The staff at Silver Creek are a very special group of professionals who I find care deeply for the children they work with while at the same time pushing them to excel and surpass expectations often placed on children with disabilities. Thank you, Silver Creek!
We have seen tremendous gains in our daughter’s skills since she started at Silver Creek a year ago; her speech, mobility and play skills have really come along. The teachers and staff members at Silver Creek are dedicated to helping each child to reach their full potential and truly love what they do.

Silver Creek has given my son the tools that are necessary to succeed in school, and in life. Their patience and love have guided my son to develop in ways that words can’t describe. He is a confident individual who thrives on challenges and I thank Silver Creek for that. Actually, I thank all the members of Silver Creek for all they have done. It is truly a great place to be.
Everyone at Silver Creek has been extremely compassionate, professional, patient and persistent in helping my child with her activities daily. As a result, my child has made significant improvements in all her developmental areas and in particular, her motor skills.
The staff at Silver Creek are wonderful people and amazing at what they do. They are a great resource to have as well; very knowledgeable, willing and able to help us as parents through the complicated process of raising a child with special needs. Thank you Silver Creek

The staff at Silver Creek are some of the most gifted teachers that I have met and while showing such love and compassion for all their students, they also have the unique ability to push students out of their comfort zone to help them excel in all areas of development.
Silver Creek offers one-on-one attention to all children that strives to bring out the very best in each child, regardless of what their needs are. By far, one of the best benefits of the program is the staff, who are loving and supportive and who go well beyond expectations on a daily basis.
Who Attends Sliver Creek
Children from age 18 months until kindergarten age can attend Silver Creek. Our expertise is in serving children with special needs as well as children who do not have special needs.
The special needs of the children include:

At risk for delayed development because of prematurity, complex medical conditions
No child will be excluded from Silver Creek because of their special need.
We have been integrated with children without special needs since 1984. Children of all abilities play and work together helping each other to reach their full potential.
The first Xenia Concert of 2016 will feature blissfully brilliant music for string quartet written by two of history's greatest musical prodigies: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Felix Mendelssohn. Join us for a morning of lyricism and virtuosity as we explore the music of two composers who were performing and writing music before they hit 10 years old. :)
The concert will take place at The Sony Centre for the Performing Arts. The Sony Centre is conveniently located close to parking and TTC - visit www.sonycentre.ca/Plan-Your-Visit.aspx for more information.
This concert is no cost - simply reserve your spot on Eventbrite with a $5.00 ticket purchase, and when you arrive at the concert we will refund the amount you paid back to you in the form of a gift card from Starbucks, Shoppers Drug Mart, or Tim Hortons.
