Parent Social Evening with Dinner and Speaker

Please join us the evening of November 18th: 6:30pm-8:30pm for a social evening----an opportunity to meet other parents, enjoy a meal (vegetarian) and learn more about Disability Tax Credit and other avenues of tax support and savings, from our speaker Jonathan Spencer of TaxWise.  There will be (limited) childcare available. Please let us know if you will be attending and if you require childcare. 

Here is Jonathan's bio: 

After attending Algonquin College Jonathan Spencer started his professional career in the Financial Industry, first in Ottawa, then Toronto, where he worked and strived for seven years. During this time he became increasingly aware that his true passion for helping people was not being met nor was it possible in his current role. Therefore, after much deliberating he decided to leave his corporate position and head directly to the non-profit sector. He found a small, four employee society, where he specifically helped people with mental disabilities with their tax returns. As the Senior Tax Credit Specialist, he met with families and one-by-one helped them attain the Tax Credits that they were eligible for. Through this personal involvement, Jonathan became conscious to the struggles that people had with the Disability Tax Credit Certificate and the difficulties they had proving their eligibility to the Canada Revenue Agency. Much comprehensive research went into his work which he used to standup for his clients with their doctors and the Disability Tax Credit Unit. After two hard years in this niche, the non-profit that he worked for had decided to close its doors and Jonathan looked for a company that specialized in this field. This is how Jonathan found TaxWise Inc. and has been with them ever since.
