Specialized Programs
Specialized Fridays
This programming occurs on Friday mornings and is open to all parents and family members.
- Parent-Child Interaction Play Groups
- Parent Education Workshops (may occur in the evening to accommodate working parents)
Snoezelen Room
We are equipped with a magical multi-sensory space that benefits all children who attend Silver Creek. We have also opened up this room to the community and welcome your call to set up an appropriate time to come in and learn how best to use the room and equipment to help your child.
Parent Advocacy and Support Room
A space for parents to come and relax, pick up information, fill out funding forms, or get help in finding what you need. This room may be staffed for a few hours per week; please let us know ahead of time so that we can schedule a convenient time for someone to help you access the information you need.
We look forward to hosting some social events for our parents so that you can get to know one another and perhaps be that support for another parent who is not so far along in the maze of services, funding streams and opportunities available within the community for the children.
Summer Camp
Our 2 -week camp begins the first week of July. The hours are 9am-11:30am, Monday thru Friday.
We again have swim time booked at Richmond Gardens Pool and look forward to the beginning of summer FUN-the main theme of the camp.
Participation is limited to 12 children.

All four of my children have gone to, or are currently going to Silver Creek. As "community kids", my children have had the unique opportunity to spend their days playing and learning with special needs kids. One of the most valuable things they have come out of this experience with is empathy and the understanding that although some kids have special needs, they are still kids just like them. Silver Creek offers one-on-one attention to all children that strives to bring out the very best in each child, regardless of what their needs are. By far, one of the best benefits of the program is the staff, who are loving and supportive and who go well beyond expectations on a daily basis.
